My name is Joshua Crim, and I was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, I am deeply rooted in our community and currently volunteer as an athletic coach at Eastern High School, my alma mater. I am also a project engineer with experience in developing utility-scale solar parks. Giving back to the community has always been a priority for me, and I am passionate about being involved and helping wherever I can.
As a current member of the school board, I have had the privilege of voting on key issues that continue to improve our school district. With the voters’ approval of the millage, we have made significant strides in building newer facilities and enhancing our schools.
My journey as a student and alumnus of the Lansing School District has shown me the disconnect that often exists between the community, parents, the district, and the board. I am committed to bridging that gap, ensuring every voter feels represented and heard.
With over $2 billion in successful construction project management experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge in managing high-value projects. This expertise enables me to scrutinize spending and ensure that our tax dollars are used effectively and in alignment with our mission statement.
My core values are transparency and open dialogue with the community. I believe in continuous growth for our district, aiming to make it a place where parents are proud to send their children, knowing they will receive a quality education that equips them for the future.
During my time on the board, I have voted in favor of beneficial decisions, including construction projects that bring updated facilities to our students and the district staff, new equipment for our facilities team, and showing continuing support in our use of Green Link which is a company that has helped the district acquire over $2 million in grant money. These efforts are crucial in driving our district forward.
Together, let's build a district we can all be proud of.
